Last I checked, Google was allowed to do whatever they wanted, so long as it didn't break any laws. Since there is no law that even requires them to provide daycare, they can charge whatever the hell they want, or take it away completely if they so desired.
Arguing otherwise is a moot point, and serves no purpose other than to raise a holier than thou attitude, and point fingers at some perceived injustice. Which is always good for solving problems and getting our way.
Again, you're a bunch of idiots.

I "voiced and opinion"?
Don't they teach spelling and grammar in med school anymore? Or did you Google that sentence?

Yes. Yes they are.
Dr. Opinion back there just added a nice steaming pile to the top of an already putrid mess. Fortunately, I know where he lives. If he goes missing in the woods, I've got an alibi.
The good news is that I don't even need to say anything to this stupidity - other than posting tasty pics of hot fat dewdz.
Because I can just say: "What Scout said." And its all taken care of.
You are my spirit brother. We should go hunt buffalo together and chase squaws in the happy hunting grounds.
Or is the plural "squaw?"

Hey, Jeff... Equality vs. Freedom. This is it, right here, baby.
Yep. Delightful.
But equality
for whom
? Freedom
for whom
?
Good answer, my thinker friend, on happiness/survival question, but you can't have it both ways: consistency would require making
the fittest
employees happiest, not
the most
employees happiest. Unless you believe that making the majority happiest leads to the fittest persevering. If you believe that, though, you're sounding very socialist.
JK--what's more pathetic, getting riled up by the same old internet politics debate or getting riled up by people getting riled up by the same old internet politics debate? Or getting riled up by people getting riled up by people getting riled up by the same old internet politics debate?
Maybe Google knows the answer.

Trent is arguing that everyone should be involved in the raising of children. That would be equality, because all children would be raised the same, by the community. Freedom would be allowing parents to raise their children as they see fit, whether we agree with it or not.

Employers should pay wages/salary. Period. No benefits, no health care, no daycare, no meals, no cars, no M&M's. Employees work; employees get cash. Employees then spend cash on whatever they want or need.
Want to retain employees? Pay more cash. Want to recruit quality workers? Pay more cash. Company doing well and wants to spread the wealth? Pay more cash.

So should public schools and public or employer-provided healthcare be eliminated because people who "can't afford it" have cell phones and cars?
No to public schools, but yes to private healthcare. The government (and only the government) does need to provide a minimum safety net level of services because we, as a society, have apparently decided that none of our fellow countrymen should be illiterate or die even if they fall below the Darwinian line. I begrudgingly accept this fact, and I am willing to pay taxes to fund it.
However, I am not willing to have my investment portfolio subjected to the vagaries of trying to impose this responsibility on private citizens or private corporations. Do you honestly think that putting corporations in charge of our society's national well-being is a good idea?! Do you even watch movies?!? Cyberdyne Systems (Terminator), BNL Corp (Wall-E), The Umbrella Corporation (Resident Evil), The Soylent Corporation (Soylent Green), The Tyrell Corporation (Blade Runner), The Weyland-Yutani Corporation (Alien), OMNI Consumer Products (Robocop), etc. etc. etc.

Personally, I find it "alarming" that somebody who runs to spend "Time with God" would have such an uncharitable view of the purpose of having a society and of people's needs.

Soylent Green ref! Sweeet! Gain 15 yards!!
Scout, you exaggerate my comments. I said nothing about equality. Just shared responsibility. If a parent stops feeding their kid, society jumps in and reeducates the parent and nourishes the kid. In severe cases, the child is removed from the dangerous home. Society steps in to protect the child.

You didn't have to.
And your new argument is different. Daycare is different than withholding required sustenance.
Daycare is not the same as removing a child from a dangerous home.

Don't fret, Berner. You're covered. It is against the law for companies to take up any social program that impacts their shareholders' bottom line.
