a decent race. about 2 minutes faster than last year.
ran well for the first 7 or 8 k. Really struggled after that. We were running on gravel and the wind really picked up. I walked at the 11 and 13 km water stations. Slowed.
managed to get a little boost for the 14th km and finished strong over the final click even though I could feel my left hamstring start to cramp, it never got bad enough to force me to slow or stop. I was being passed by a lot of runners over KM 10-13 but managed to reel a few people in over the final 2k.
Nice finisher medal again this year.... and there was also a Planet Forward stainless steel water bottler as a finisher gift (sold on their web site for $18)
