Today got my staples out of back. We went through everything for an hour. She showed me the the shark tooth like bone shard that was poking through Dura causing the CSF leak. Maeve asked if it was rare and her comments were like people seek us out to have this fixed and we see about 3 a year. So guess i am special in an unfortunate way. So they had to go in through back and hinge a vertebra open and then work into csf canal and tie off spinal cord to side. Then they could work to front and shave down the bone shard. then they patched it and glued it. Then they applied pressure make sure it held. then reversed on way out. Then then screwed the vertebra back on. So now it is healing from all that. The spinal cord needs to calm down and the muscles were sut through and peeled away from back need to heal. I need to be patient and smart. I am lucky again. Be about July before can jog. I do have some weird pain by right hip that she said might be related to nerves and that will take some time to heal as well.
