Knew I wanted to go out conservatively because of the heat but I also had to get out with good positioning. Opened in 5:20 then brought it back the second mile to 5:40. Started to go when I hit the 3 mile mark and started picking people off. Felt great catching up to teammates and pushing them to go with me. Felt so strong and had a really good kick to finish as our third guy. Will and Connor raced really strong as well, considering the heat. For other guys, it just wasn't the right day but they'll come back stronger. Looking forward to Parkside. Still building up.
