Good early morning jaunt around the island. Exploring the bike course. The police presence was insane. Cops out and about and roaming the island even at 6am..Felt extremely safe. Anyone that i ran across was very friendly. South end of the island was well maintained (probably due to the Grand Prix that just happened). North end could use some TLC, but from what everyone said including Kenny, having the state run things and making it a state park is bringing back this gem of a place to it's previous stature among the great places in Michigan.
