to work. Started raining about halfway in. This was both pleasant and awful. The brakes on my bike barely work when it is raining, it is an old bike and the steel frames make it so the brakes don't grip very well while biking. Long story short, I need about 50 meters to stop when going normal 14ish mph.
So I was going down hill and picking up speed fast, when the cars in front of me started stopping. Tried to stop and tried to put my foot down a little. ended up having to veer onto the sidewalk and wiped out a bit. Took the rest of the trip pretty slow. Got a scrape on my face and leg. Not dead though, so could be worse. I have another bike which I will take from now on if it is raining or going to rain.
