8th. Pretty cold and windy today (10-15mph) but we ran a phenomenal team race. The Johns Hopkins team ran like a bunch of tards, with their entire team leading by the first turn. Sebhat, Travis and I moved to control the pace and I was feeling really good. Every now and then between that point and the around 2.5 miles I would put a few steps on the field. Everyone was yelling for me to settle in but I was running very comfortable. One of the major changes to my racing was that I was consciously keeping myself in the moment instead of running ahead of the race, it definitely paid off. After I was caught and swallowed I worked with Sebhat. I hurt from the 3-4 miles but stayed focused on racing the whole way. I started to move around the 7k and slowed moved up on a pack with jenkins and a few others in it. I stayed smooth and in control and pulled away from them in the home stretch, catching up to Travis at the line. We had an amazing spread of 13 sec 1-5 and 21 sec 1-7. Made a real statement today beating eau Claire handily and getting revenge on #2 D2 Grand valley.
