Notes

Ran a loop through the dog park and back through the neighborhoods to Iowa’s track for some 200s. I was feeling flat and the hills especially sucked today so I did not push the 200s. Did 8x200 w/200 jog. Johnny wanted 30” on 1’ off but 200s are usually more fun. 34.9, 34.8, 32.9, 33.6, 33.6, 33.7, 33.8, 33.2. Jogged back to the store as a cool Down. Say a prayer for tomorrow, the mileage gods may be challenging my hubris.

quick/weird question but I am curious - what does your diet look like right now with this high mileage?

Ryan Root

I just eat when I’m hungry, really. I’d say a normal day looks like: (pre-run) cup of coffee (breakfast) Greek yogurt and granola in the summer, Oatmeal in the winter, (lunch) two turkey and Swiss sandwiches, (dinner) some sort of chicken with veggies and rice. Sometimes I have massive salt cravings so I keep a bag of tortilla chips and gauc in the house. I heard Deana Kastor say the best diet is to act (or in my case, live) like your in poverty. Keep it simple and as clean as possible.

they are kept at 30's sometimes for a reason- other times I assume it's a convenience thing. Knowing this I can make adjustments
