38.7 miles. Noah convinced me to challenge myself and actually ride in the mountains for better views. I disregarded the speed for the most part. Originally I was going to ride from lefthand trailhead to Jamestown, but Ward was 5 miles further so at the split I took the longer option. I climbed and climbed and fought to keep my watch from auto-pausing at 7mph. I went up 3741 feet, topping out just at 9100 ft at the edge of the town. I was wrecked by the climbing and let gravity assert itself as much as possible on the return journey. It was still no easy task getting back after expending so much to reach Ward.
