Evening track workout. 6x1000m with 90 sec rest. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, I wanted to make it a tough workout but run a pace that wasn't suicidal but still pushing just a tad. Wanted to go 3:10-3:05 for the first two and work from there but after dropping a super easy 2:54 I knew the rest of the workout could be run around that pace. I felt smooth for most of the workout even when it got tough I never felt like I was breaking down. This was a total strength workout from my mental approach. I made sure to stay relaxed and just let he interval come to me instead of forcing a pace. It was a surprisingly good moonlight workout at the end of July in the middle of the (to be) biggest mileage week this summer. Huge shout out to Thompsen for coming to time me even though he bailed on the workout earlier
