Notes

1st place. It was a cool day with a bit of wind (~10mph). We took control of the pace from the outset. Troy Sebhat and I led for almost the first 3 miles. I felt off just a bit before the 3 miles and cross, Troy and Sebhat started to gap me a bit. I tried to stay patient because we had be running pretty quick (4:46, 9:43, ?, 19:17) I started to move up even though I was feeling pretty shitty (not as bad as yesterday) but wanted to reconnect. Troy let off the gas a tiny bit to help me bridge the gap after I had passed cross. Troy and I were together for maybe a half mile, definitely through 4, before he started struggling a bit. I started to move to catch Sebhat when we got along the fence. It reminded me a ton of conference my senior year in high school. I wasn't pressing anymore I was running smooth and within myself. On the last turn when I had finally caught up to Sebhat he turned to me and said, "this is your championship, man" and I thanked him and we pretty much finished together before he let up at the line. I am so grateful for his generosity because he had the race in the bag. Just hope I get to return the favor somewhere down the road
