didnt race steambaot this year but because i got a free entry I did the scheduled workout that Mike gave me within the race. 2x200 @35 w/200jog +1k @ 3k pace w/3' jog+ 8x200 @35 w/200jog. It was a little weird that i didnt have specific marks to shoot for on the ground like i would at the track but I think the watch was fairly accurate. The 1000 was the meat of the workout and i hit it pretty well, never feeling dead before, during or after it. started the last set of 200s after the 2 mile and I'm sure I looked like a huge noob making substantial surges and then slowing back down drastically. The race wasnt finished after the 8x200 so I just jogged it in. Actually ended up placing (18th, 21:34) even though i ripped off my chip timer so i wouldnt show up in the results
