Paced the girls through 8x300 w/60"; 5' jog (ended up being 7); 8x200 w/75". I hadn't run quick in a while so I was feeling apprehensive going into it. Coach wanted the 300s in 53 and the 200s 33. Started with a 200 to open up before the 300's to make sure I could pace reasonably well; 34.4. For the first time in my pacing career, I walked/shuffle-jogged the rest portions so I didn't count that towards the run's total mileage. Took the girl's through 200 consistently around 34, a touch faster here and there. The cadence felt like I was trying to run fast at first but eventually settled into a more rhythmic feeling. 53.0, 51.6, 52.3, 52.3, 51.8, 50.8, 51.2, 50.9. jogged around the infield until the 200s. 32.4, 32.2, 32.5, 32.2, 32.5, 32.1, 32.6, 30.4. I had a much better stride going for the 200s and the pace felt more natural. The girl's were getting dragged through the 200's but got them to run quicker than they would have without me there.
