3 warm up+ 10 miles 5:40 down to 5:20+ 3 cool down. I was not feeling great this morning and I was going to have to be on the treadmill thanks to the overnight snow and -14 wind-chill. I wanted to get rolling on the warm up to lessen the impact of the pace drop. I had the last few world championships 5k/10k races as entertainment. 8 want super comfortable at 5:3x's and the option to go 8 rather than 10 was tantalizing. I was into my 8th mile as Cheptegei was chasing down Farah in the home straight of the 2017 Champs 10k. I talked myself off of the ledge and took it mile by mile, chipping my way to the whole 10 miles. Cooled down at a decent pace to keep the overall pace under 6:00. Always a good feeling.
