Allergies really hit me hard last night, and on top of the rough nights of sleep and working the meet I was pooped when i got out of bed. Really wasn't sure whether I'd make it all ten but resolved to just do the best I could. When I got going after the warm-up everything felt ok for the most part. Per usual on progressions I'd just surge a little each mile and it worked out in general. last 4 were when I was closest to the threshold where it hurt but it wasn't unbearable. The rollers on the Joe Creek trial screwed me at mile 9 and I positive split that portion but i was working hard, got to the last mile and didn't look at my watch just ran tough. slipped a little in the soft, loose gravel but still managed a 5:00 to finish it off. Good workout overall, kind of surprised myself.
