3 miles easy+8-10 @5:40-50+3 miles easy. Driving around is starting to wear on me so my expectations for the run weren't too high, even with the benefit of being at sea-level. We drove to Pere Marquette and got on the bike path for an out and back. It was chilly but totally clean footing, the wind was at my back on the way out, which meant the way back would need to be at a slightly greater effort. I was rolling through the first 3 miles before dropping down to the range but still wasn't confident. The path rolled more than I remember but once I got to Grafton it was relatively flat and smooth. I ran out on River Rd on the shoulder of the busy highway and flipped. The wind that was so helpful now pulled my jacket taut across my chest and I pushed off the ground just a bit harder to maintain pace. I was surprised to hit the second half faster than the opening half as I marched back into the wind. The last 2 miles were over rolling hills with a +114 ft gain over the final mile. Though I wasn't feeling great I really charged that final mile to finish feeling strong. Kept an honest pace as I made my way back to the Pere Marquette welcome center.
