Ran the Miami Marathon. Had a great first 1/2 with a 1:33:45 split. Hurt my left leg at about mile 15 which caused me to make 2 very short stops. I then ran slowly for at least a mile while it started to loosen up. Agfter about three miles it was loose enogh to know that I would finish but it was sore and was causing my knee to also start getting sore and then everything started to tighten up. i had hoped to finish stronf=ger and was bummed too watch the time slip away. The second half was 9 minutes longer than the first. In the end, it was great to do it, a bummer that things happen, but a result that I should be proud of - I'm just not there yet.
I think I will look for one nearby that i can do in order to crack the 3:10 barrier. if I stick with it I really believe that in a year i could break 3:00.
I lost about 8 lbs during the race. My stomach was pretty upset at the very end and i wasn't at all interested in eating. By the evening i was doing much better but still felt it in the morning.
