Awesome race for me and the team... First a big shout out to Ian Jake Blaze Adam Dylan Phil and Sean for a tight pack and to lead us to a 3rd place finish as well to everyone else for a hard days work!
As for me... The first 2k was rough I got out slow we were bunch up and along the part witht he asphalt I got stuck on the side with some slow guy in front of me and jorge and tony almost ran away from me
The Next 2k it opened up abit and I was with tony and jorge going up the hill passing them while going down coming up to the 4k mark I caught ryan lindenmulder who I raced in highschool and destroy him from there on
The final 2k I caught another old runner from high school who is a freshman at college of dupage kevin barnacle who was all state in cross and the 2 mile he use to destroy me... Skyler caught me going up the hill and passed me putting me in 9th and I really just wanted to hang on there
After the race I felt pretty good knowing I have alot more in the tank which is good since we are moving up to 8k and I hit my goal for today to be in the top 9 so I could run the main event at Notre Dame which is big for me since last year I was the #10 guy and 1st one out and it has been a chip and my shoulder and we only lost 1 guy from last years top 9 and added a bunch of stud freshman also I pr'ed tonight by 67 seconds
