The goal for the day was to go under 4:28 and win the heat but that didnt quite happen... I felt really good before the race and I started down in lane one but when the gun went off some how within 10 meters i was in last... We went out kinda slow, 36, when I wanted to go 35 and then drop to a 33... Every time i tried to get out and go in the first 600 it felt like the pack picked it up... We went through the 800 2:16 and I knew we had to pick it up... eventually i worked by way up to 3rd with a straight away to go and got passed but i was able to out kick an olivet kid... I finished 3rd but only .47 from winning the heat...I ran my last 1200 in 3:21 with my overall splits being 70, 68, 67, 66
I'm pumped to finally hit this kind of time but it doesnt stop here I know ive got more and to be honest i should have won the heat today but I didnt race smart the last 200 sitting in lane 2 going nowhere in the last turn but ill fix it and continue to drop time just time to get back to working hard for another week and having another big race!!!
