Conference XC 2012: 8th place in 15:46. Obviously times were slow because of the crazy conditions during the race. The course was pretty wrecked especially on the 2nd lap. At the start I tried not to get caught up in all the excitement that seemed to affect Turner as well as the entire PS squad as it seemed like everybody went out crazy fast. The good thing about conf. and reg. is that it isn't all that hard to move up considering the field sizes are 56 and 70 respectively. Eventually a pack developed that was lead by me and included Peter, Pierce of Minooka, and the PS #2 not sure of his name. We were making good ground up on Suarez and for a while I was sure we were going to reel him in. I regret not making my move a little sooner as my kick was shitty. Sure enough, I went from 5th to 8th in the final 400-600m. I am looking forward to regionals and getting to race these guys again. I really like our conference as we have some really good individuals, but its not too crazy up front. Next couple weeks will be eventful for sure.
