T68; H78; DP61; W9ese: The Garmin was way off and wonky today. It lost .25 mile somewhere. I think that's why the pace looks so slow. I actually ran a quarter mile more than it shows, within that same time period. The first mile read everywhere from 58+ to 8+. I never knew what pace I was running,. During the 3rd mile, the Garmin read always 12+. At the end of the mile it shows 14.28 pace. It makes no sense--unless that's where the .25 was lost.
I wish I had time to run longer today. This would have been a good 7 mile day; But I had too many appointments this morning, and I have 2 more this afternoon. So, I squeezed the run in where I could. I was scheduled for a 3-mile run, but did 4, just because I felt so good--and wished I had time for 7.
My R knee has been bothering me a lot. I noticed yesterday while I was wearing high heels that it felt better than it had in the low heels I had been wearing earlier. So today I wore the highest healed running shoes I have. I usually wear them when I have a pulled or tight calf muscle, so that it isn't stretched out as much as it is in the low heeled shoes. Anyway, these shoes felt good while I ran. They have a lot more miles on them than shows above--don't know why--but the heals are very worn. I think I'll replace them with another high rise shoe, so that I'll have them available for pulled calf muscles, etc.
