T58; H58; DP43: My plan was to run at least 6 miles at the 178 cadence. I haven't run more than 4 miles with that cadence before. I wanted to run slow enough that I could do the distance wit;hout getting out of breath. I haven't run more than 4 miles since the end of July. It's time to start adding distance again. At the end of 6 I felt good enough to keep going, so I added a 7th mile. I'm still thinking about running a 1/2 M in December. I'll give a bit more time to see how my distance builds. But if I plan on running it, I'll have to make a decision soon, before the race is filled.

At this slow pace my breathing was ok. My right knee was a bit sore, but loosened up over time. The last 1.5 miles it rained pretty hard--just misty before that. I tried picking up speed the last mile so I could get out of the rain I felt my calves tightening up. My form must have been off. My calves usually don't give me any problems.
