Injury...

Got out late-ish for an average / easy run. On Water St before Ide, I rolled my bad (left) ankle on the tiny drop from the pavement to the gravel shoulder. Obviously stopped and spent a few moments flexing it to see how it felt.. seemed less super tender and unable to turn than when I got past sprains, but definitely painful to the touch (and also maybe a bit numb?). Given this seemed different from the past and I was able to move it alright, I decided to continue onto Gale slowly. It actually seemed alright for a while, but coming up to the Rt 2 roundabout I felt a bit more pain. Decided to call the run and head home instead of going on to Cozy. When I got home and stopped, I found the ankle was even more sharply painful than when I was on the road. Immediately started elevating and icing. Can't believe this cycle that keeps happening when things are feeling good and going well in my training -- this isn't anything I even did wrong. Will take close care of it the next few days and hopefully, from the initial sense of being better than a full sprain, this turns around faster than the last time this happened... In any case, have to find ways to maintain fitness this time after all the work I've been doing. To see in a few days..
