1600 @tempo (5:47), 600 @1600 (1:47.9), 500 @800 (1:21.3, 400 @slightly faster than 800, 300 @slightly faster than previous 400. 5 minutes jog rest after tempo, 7 rest after 600, 9 after 500, 6 after 400 (first and last minute of all the recoveries, besides the one after the tempo, was walking. Split: 5:47.2, 1:48.3, 1:20.5, 1:04.3, 47 (messed up because I had to cut onto the turf to avoid middle school hurdles). Very good workout, hit pace on almost every rep with decent wind and it didn't feel too terrible. Led basically the entire thing as well, which was nice to do for the first time in a while. Tempo and 600 felt decent, but the rest was great. Felt very smooth and fast on the last 3 reps. The 500 was way faster than I have run in previous 500 workouts and it felt more controlled. First really good day in a while, ready for a huge PR. No calf pain either.
