Ran a 10 mile escalation run on the GTT. The idea was to run a fast first mile and hold tempo pace for the next two and maintain a good rhythm the rest of the way. Mills took off right from the start and I went with him and we ended up running around 5:15 for the first mile and settling into the next two miles around 5:25-5:35 pace. We maintained a good rhythm the rest of the way and he started to pull away during the 5th and 6th miles but I was able to work back up to him and finish together in just over 56 minutes. Overall it was a good workout and I was happy with the effort. I wasnt sure how I would feel after the fast first mile but luckily I was able to recover pretty quickly and have a nice workout.
