This was a pretty good run. Took yesterday off as left ankle peroneal area was sore after Tuesday's workout. First mile warmup 9:27, 2nd mile was shooting for a bit faster and got 8:13 (!), then 3rd 8:06, 4th 7:30 (wtf), 5th 8:00, 6th 7:50 and 6th 8:02. Last mile cooldown about 9:00. Felt pretty good throughout--3rd mile felt faster than it was; at end of 4th, felt like it was too fast to maintain (which it was and I did not try).
Had gone out thinking this was a MP run, luckily realized it should be faster than that...Again, done as a "normal" tempo run @15-20 seconds slower than 10K pace for 5 miles rather than a Higdon with buildup over more miles and fewer miles at tempo pace.
