"New" route. There's a parking lot on the edge of Fitchburg city limits that's about 6 miles from my house. So I ran there on rails to trails for 8 miles, out and back. Felt okay, but had some GI wonkiness at about mile 7 all the way home. Not a bad run, but definitely a first long run back in the saddle.
Lots of cool historical markers on this run as well, which was pretty nifty. One day I'll run from the Madison end to somewhere down the line. Maybe run a ultra training run. The possibilities are out there.
