felt great because i knew i could run slower if i needed to, but ended up having faster splits than what my training schedule called for (10:06 min/mi). time passed quickly enough and i felt like i was just trotting along. thought i ran past 3 miles but wasn't sure so i was still looking at my watch as though it was an even 6 miles. last mile i picked up the pace, wish i had a garmin to tell me my actual splits since the miles aren't marked on the trail.
