Notes

Wasn't sure if I wanted to run this race because my blisters were extremely painful even though I popped them. It also didn't help that the blisters were on the balls of my feet, where I land on to propel me further. was convinced to run it anyway because of where we were in placement. Few minutes before my race, I had trouble even walking without pain, so trying to stride was almost impossible, so my running form was even hindered.

Literally right when the mile started, I was DFL and I just could not go any faster. Spent the whole race trying to get back with the pack only to never do that at all. Pretty upset because I feel like I let my teammates down by not being able to run to my full potential, but at least what hindered me is something that I can easily prevent by either getting new spikes, better blister treatment, or just not wearing spikes in general. One thing I noticed about my knee is that after a time of strenuous activity, my knee would be in a lot of pain the day after. So, to not only be able to race a 3k and a mile and not feel my knee in any of those races is a very promising sign that this injury is finally behind me and I can start training seriously again. This is just a minor setback and I will still have one more chance to redeem myself in the mile assuming that Track Nats changed the 1500m to mile.
