Keep forgetting how fast these 1500's go.
This race pretty much went how yesterday's 5k went. I went near the front with the leader (Jared) for the first 3 quarters of the race. Made some smart moves on the third lap to put myself near first. Jared made a huge kick on the last lap that I unfortunately could not cover. On the homestretch, another guy was trying to pass me and I immediately responded to that so I wouldn't have been passed that last 100m. Nice 1-2 finish for Illinois in this heat.
Positive: good kick, stayed competitive the whole race.
Negative: outkicked again.
Overall: Decent race. I really don't think I could have done much more with the heat that I was in.
