hm..I've run faster 5k splits in an xc race. Ok first mile, but then died. shins/ front of my ankles were very tight again.

I've decided that all I need to do to fix my racing is to take recovery days easier. My pace has been slow enough that I'm not quite pushing, but fast enough that I'm not quite recovering fully.
