US Half Marathon. Probably don't need to do this one again. Expensive, and lots of things really weren't done well. Organizers are supposed to mail Jim's shirt because they ran out of large's (this was only noon on Saturday). Also no medals at finish because vendor send the wrong ones. Supposed to mail those too. Course up to bridge was different route & hillier than SFM, but nice running through Presidio a little more. All runners were funneled over to the western sidewalk of the bridge due to construction, but that caused bottlenecks. Miles 6.5 to 7.5 were tough because it went up Conzelman Road into the headlands then down. Steep, reminded me of Big Sur. Gained back some time on the downhills. Took 3 Cliff blocs one hour before running. Took 1 Gu & water at mile 7 aid station. Water again at mile 10. Logistics: left home at 5:15 am, got there at 6:00 & found street parking 3 blocks from start on Franklin at Lombard. Plenty of porta-potties. Wore garbage bag do to rain potential but that didn't happen. Still glad to have it because it was chilly.
