Notes
First run in a week, since the long 8 miler I did - I was sick during the week.
I still debated going out for this running, but after surviving a day of ice climbing prior & not having anything else to do, I figured I could be outside. After I climbed up Meadow though, the first minute of steps caused pounding in my head each step. Luckily it went away after that, or there's no way I could have continued.
A fluffy, but wet snow was coming down pretty good the whole run. I had no sunglasses on & when I ran back into the wind on the return, was constantly running with my head down & still catching it in the eyes. Glasses would have surely been covered though.
The roads were free of snow for the most part, but just a tiny bit wet. My feet stayed dry until just before the very end, when my right big toe got a little wet.
On the whole, I was happy enough with the pace - I didn't know what to expect after a week of no running, being sick & the first time climbing for the year the day prior. I didn't look at the watch once. It was nice to be back out there.
There was nothing noteworthy on the run besides a snowmobile that pulled up to the side of the road at the trail that crosses Bunting & him having to wait for me to pass.
