Notes
Was supposed to do 20, but the track was only listed as opened for 2 hours, after a wrestling match.
I headed there early, figuring the match wouldn't last the entire time they had the track closed & got on half an hour prior to the listed hours. They left it open a bit longer than advertised too, but it still wasn't quite enough. I can't complain though.
The girl who closed the track was definitely crabby though & seemed angry I didn't stop the 2nd she said it was closed. Sorry, but after 19+ miles, I don't just stop on a dime...
The original time for this run was 2:40:51.79 - I took off 7:11 because I forgot to stop the watch at the end.
I also finally figured out the total number of laps in a mile - it's 5.5. Over ~20, that's a huge difference from 6/mile. When I calculated the total for 106 laps, it got me 19.25 miles.
The track was nice & dead to start, but got pretty packed. It really cleared out with about 15 minutes to 5 & was nice.
I knew time would be tight, so I pushed it this run. Being that I hadn't done such distance in a while, I was quite surprised I was able to sustain the pace for so long. It even picked up toward the end. What's even more surprising is that I didn't feel horrible after.
Nice to know I can just got crank out ~20 miles on a whim still...
