Ran the second Stumptown series race during my week off. Would not have run, but Scott and NAC are too nice a group to turn down. Went out comfortably in the lead pack and was feeling good enough that I was considering setting the pace up front. I ended up sitting back as Chris Shaeffer, Clancy, and eventually Dusty Lieb took up the pacing. There was a group of 5 with about 800 to go as the racing got serious. I did not have the sharpness to race up the hill with the group and did not have the kick I did 2 weeks ago. I am somewhat disappointed that I could not take advantage of a great situation (in the lead group with 800 to go). However, I will not beat myself up over it too much after the marathon. Back at it this coming week! 5th overall. NAC 2nd place as a team!
