Washington DC, between trains
Union Station --> Capitol Building, down the mall --> Washington Memorial --> Lincoln Memorial --> along the Potomac, turn around and come back
Awesome! Nice cool rain for the whole run, and it felt amazing to get out and stretch my legs after a ridiculous ten-hour train ride from Pittsburgh to DC. Haven't been on the Mall since October '03 - I was there protesting the Iraq war before we started it, and it was strange to be back now.
Ran the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial on the way back to the station and stopped to look around for a minute - there were still gobs and gobs of tourists even at 8:00 on a rainy night.
Was very tired by the time I finished, but this was the best, most consistent run I've had in quite a while. Yay!
