Notes

Really windy day for a cycle. On my own as missed the cycle with Belpark in the morning. As soon as I started I knew it was going to be tough as it was blowing a gale in my face. Saying that I was able to push on through it easily enough. Went through Shankill, Bray, Greystones, Newcastle, Kilcoole and Wicklow. It was a pretty up and down course but not too tough. The wind made it hard to find any rhythm really. Very glad to finally turn around but didn't get as much help from the wind on the way back as I would have liked but that was prob as I was getting tired and my knee started to get sore again. The knee was pretty tender at times - I think maybe when I'm tired in the bike my cycling form gets really bad and puts extra pressure on my left knee - hopefully with more practice and spinning my knee will get stronger. Good cycle on a tough day and not very smooth roads in parts (not sure I would do this route again as the roads were rough to cycle on). If I was cycling in Laois today I probably would have been a bit faster. Still happy with another 100km cycle. Ate 2 bananas, 1 bottle lucozade, 2 gels. 1 full bag (€1 bag) of jelly babies and some water.
