Notes

MI = 94 + 70 = 164. I ran this with Kevin before we picked up Melissa. I really thought I would not bomb on this run because it was only 4 miles but I found a way to bomb. It is simply a time of the year to run,

Again don't look at it as a failed run. You had only a four hour span between this mornings run and this afternoon. 94 degrees is a cooker. By the way how much water weight did you loose. Hydration levels can play a significant part in your running performance. I know I've been struggling more with the wx conditions on those hotter days this summer.

I appreciate the encouragement Willie. I do sweat way more than the average person. My shoes are saturated by 45 to 50 minutes into a summer run. I will lose around 6 pounds of water weight if I do not have enough to drink. I really thought I would not bomb on the morning run because I even had my son giving me the water bottle every 15 minutes or so. I do wear a hat and put a towell in the hat that I dampened and put in the freezer beforehand which does help some.

Also, I saw in the news tonight where we have already had 38 days that have been over 90 degrees this summer compared to only 30 all of last summer. My son has been letting me know that Minnesota has not been immune to some of the heat this summer including the next upcoming days. He keeps up with MN because he would like to move there after college.

You are just more energy efficient than the average non conditioned person. Playing it smart and safe with the water along the way. Suppose your son is looking at the twin cities area. Land of two seasons: road construction (summer) and winter.

wcbarrett

Yes, he has his eye on the twin cities. It is still a ways off as he graduates DEC 2017.
