Very happy with this run. It is my longest run in at least 6 years. I ran the first 7 miles with Melissa and then she had to stop because her Achilles heel was acting up. I told her to stay there or keep walking the course and I would come back and pick her up. Needless to say, I worried about her for the rest of the run. I ran part of the run with Denise Pfeike who I used to run with 10 years ago. It was good to catch up with her again. I also ran part of the run with a group of folks from the Smyrna YMCA which included Kevin, Renee, Kellie, and Norbert. I was definitely ready to be done toward the end especially going up Woodland Street. When I finished, I got in the car and left to find Melissa. Well I saw her about 1/10 of a mile from the finish area so she ended up running it and finishing it. So she did great and this was her longest run ever.
