Notes

Huge race--in terms of production. Had to get in the corral almost 45 minutes before the start of the race, which meant I warmed up and waited for a long time to get going. Strategy for this race given the last month of running without workouts and physical therapy was to start conservatively. This was especially important given the steep downhills in the first couple of miles. Think I did a good job of following the plan. Never felt out of control, and felt really strong for much of the race. I started feeling the lack of workouts and mileage towards the end, and I think if I had been healthy throughout the training I would have really surprised myself with the time. Anyway, very happy with the race in spite of it all, and excited to build on it for the marathon. (Also, PR'd for 15k enroute-56:32)
