Notes

Ran 18 miles in 2:14:22.14 (7:27.9 min./mi.) Today's plan, 12 miles @ 7:30's min./mi. Originally twelve was all I planned on going today, but about eight miles in I remembered that bad weather is forecast for tomorrow so I decide to go twenty instead. However, at about fourteen I was starving, I just hadn't eaten enough, and by eighteen, though I felt great, I had to have food. The Achilles was tight the first couple of miles, and was sore the last two or three, but it could have been worse. I think this chronic Achilles tendonitis is the only thing possibly standing in the way of a 2:50's Fall marathon; feeling very strong lately. I think the high mileage this year, 880 miles so far, is a big reason why.
