Long run from Marion for the Virtual COVID-19 mile "race." Plan was to run 7:15s for the first ten, then try to ratchet it down to 6:45s for the next few miles, and then maybe 6:30 after that. Hoped to average under 7:00. The route I created was definitely pretty hilly; I think the only flat section was the half mile on the canal. When I got to 16, I was still almost 90 seconds behind pace, so I dug real deep those last three miles to bring my average under 7:00. Surprisingly, that pace didn't feel super fast, but any little hill took a lot out of me by then. Proud of how I was able to run the last half of this run.
