Nike Lunarfly (Blue) (retired)

Equipment Info
Activity: Run
Shoe size: 10.50 (US/Canada)
Total distance: 438.42 mi
Purchase date: 12/29/2010
Notes: Began suffering from some knee pain and chalked it up to the mileage on the first three pair of Lunarfly's, all with 400+ miles. Stopped wearing them and we back to them a few times but the knee pain returned. Time for them to go. Unfortunately the Lunarfly 2's are not the same, although they look similar. Just don't have the same feel, and now I'm searching once again for a trainer I prefer. Wish I had another 3 pair of the originals.

My review:

Clearly the best all-around trainer I've worn since the old Haywards. Have been looking for a shoe since the Haywards went away and this seems to be the closest thing. Very smooth ride and heel/toe transition. Not clunky like the LunarElite's. Very different than those. It's a basic design, no-frills shoe, with nice cushioning and lightweight. Already is the shoe of choice after only a few runs. Will order a couple more pairs before they change. LunarFly+ 2 coming out next and may be different.
