Notes

Getting to bed early is helping. In the past two days I have :

1. had no beer, slept 8 hours with minHR = 40 and 6 hour avg HR of 44

2. had a glass and a half of wine, slept 7.5 hour with minHR = 40 and 6 hour avg HR of 48.

Besides all the weight I've put on, it looks like the body just has to work harder to purge the alcohol and if that's not enough I'm always more dehydrated the morning after I drink.

I'm starting to pay attention to my feelings of fullness and I'm eating more veggies but I'm still shoveling in more food than I need.

Alright, so the big takeaways lately are that I seem to have lost all top end speed. Maybe 3kTT + 7 mile MoS trail race was too much though I doubt it. I really can't crack 7 min miles right now and I'm starting to get a light cough, I'm praying it isn't Carona. I began using my sinus rinse again just on the off chance it might help.shrug. What can you do except play the long game, get plenty of rest, run easy days easy and wait.Erring on the side of progression runs instead of all out thresholds is also a good idea at this point.

The big component missing right now from my trainings are VO2max and Alternations, both of which may have to be run by feel given how uncertain my fitness is. I'm thinking that some mixed pace work might be a good way to hit a lot of things until I'm feeling stronger.
