Notes
cadence was 90.
I did the same route as 2 weeks ago. (Harter to Peavy to Van Dyke, and then down Easton past Lake Highlands to Lippet and back up Peavy again) It was EXTREMELY hot. I felt like i was going easy and hr was sitting right at 150 for at least 15 min. By about 18 minutes, i was starting to feel the heat, though. HR monitor jumped up to high 150s for the last 6-7 minutes, and i guess that was accurate (As i turned on my street to go up the hill, a dog started running after me, which gave the 162 spike). Other than the dog, I felt like i was running the same easy effort the whole time, though.
took a vanilla power gel and some water after about 7 min just to make sure it wouldn't bother my stomach running off the bike in the heat. no issues noticed.
