for the 1st 7 or 8 minutes my hr would go above the 155 alert even though i was running really easy. every 30 seconds or so i would have to walk to get it down. my hr would fall really fast too, though. once i got going, my running felt more normal but really easy. i would start speeding up to a more comfortable pace on open flat sections and set it off, but i seemed to be getting a feel for the needed effort level by the end.
