This run stunned me. I had a crappy nights sleep and after yesterday's hard 12 miler, I felt very tired. I had to have a second coffee just to make it through the day. As I laced up my shoes I thought I would just be putting in a very slow 5-6.

The first mile felt like 9:30 pace. I just the watch and was surprised it was 8:42. I was just running to recover... slow, no effort. By mile 3 I was under 8:00 pace. Last 4 miles ave. 7:40 pace. I kept thinking... how am I doing this? I'm tired and I'm running with no effort at all? Perhaps I zoomed up to a new fitness level? Either that or I had a very good day.

I'm keeping this one in the memory banks!
