Beautiful morning and a hopeful birthday attitude that I could do a workout. Left on gravel and returned on the bike path (with some wind at my back to help out). The plan was 15 x 1min @ 5k with 1min recovery. I felt like I had done this before but just 3 in and it felt daunting.
It actually started feeling better after I got away from the slight downhill and started on the slight uphill. But what really helped was losing track of how many I'd done. I was on 9 when I thought 8, and then I was on 14 when I had no idea. So that helped.
So not the smoothest workout but 1 I hope I needed.
