I needed to prove to myself I could run 18 again and I did. I was really concerned since I only had 4.5 hours of sleep and I felt tired during the first four on my own. Then I met some friends and the next 8 miles flew by and I felt good. I knew I had 6 left then and I just ran without looking at the pace. I averaged 6:57/mi over the last 6 and I knew that if I was rested at all, it would have been even better. I needed this and I got it. This was a huge confidence boost for me.
