This was a brutal run because it was 74 F and sunny and the humidity was at 88%. That is not good running weather. I was supposed to do 8 x 1 mile (5:55-6:00/mi) but I only did 6 mile repeats because the conditions were so crappy and Josh's story about an injury after a hard workout followed by a long flight worried me as I am not 100% with my right groin still and I have a six hour flight ahead of me.

I did the first four and I ran well but I was already exhausted. I started the workout after only one mile as it was crappy out but even after the third one, my shorts were soaked as if I jumped in a pool. I decided to be safe and take repeats 5 and 7 off the the above reasons and I felt like I ran 6 and 8 well as a result. I think that with the current conditions, 8 would have really hurt me as much or more than it would have helped me. I still hit my times though.

As I write this in the airport, I'm glad I was kind to myself. I can really feel that I'm sore and I'll have to get up frequently and stretch. My groin hurts a little but that was expected. I still put 16 miles in and I can feel proud about that. I am so happy to run in cooler weather though.
